Job summary

AdventHealth in Kansas is hiring for a Birth Center Full Time role. You will perform Medicare compliance reviews, estimate patient financial responsibility, coordinate pre-authorizations, verify insurance benefits, and register patients while ensuring accurate records.

Role requires strong customer service, HIPAA knowledge, and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated maturity in dealings with patients, physicians, and insurance representatives.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft programs and familiarity with database software.
• Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
• Adherence to HIPAA and CMS guidelines; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform Medicare compliance reviews and issue Advance Beneficiary Notices of Noncoverage as needed.
• Create accurate estimates for patient financial responsibility and arrange payments.
• Coordinate with utilization management for pre-authorization issues and share needed information with patients.
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain pre-authorizations within established timeframes.
• Register patients accurately to minimize duplication of records and ensure correct demographics.
• Provide coverage for PBX switchboard and perform cashiering duties as required.
• Maintain excellent customer service and document all conversations with patients and insurers.
