Job summary

AdventHealth in Daytona Beach, FL is seeking a Part-time Patient Access/Administrative professional to perform Medicare compliance reviews, estimate patient financial responsibility, collect payments, and coordinate with care teams to ensure patients have necessary information and pre-authorizations.

You will register patients, verify insurance, handle cashiering, and document conversations while maintaining HIPAA privacy.

Qualifications

• Mature judgment in dealing with patients, physicians, and insurance representatives.
• Excellent customer service and professional communication.
• Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Performs Medicare compliance reviews and issues ABNs as needed.
• Registers patients for all services and verifies insurance details.
• Estimates patient financial responsibility and collects payments or sets up payment plans.
• Coordinates with utilization management for pre-authorization issues and provides necessary information.
• Maintains accurate demographic data and ensures billing accuracy.
• Provides coverage for PBX and performs cashiering duties as required.
• Delivers exceptional customer service and documents all conversations with patients and insurers.
