Job summary

Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest in San Diego, CA is seeking a Front Office Representative to ensure a welcoming patient experience at the health center. You will manage the waiting area, greet patients, schedule appointments, and register patients into our EHR while guiding them through available funding programs.

You will verify insurance, discuss financial responsibilities, perform charge reconciliation, and assist with payor contracts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of customer service experience or 1+ year admitting/registration experience or 1+ year PPPSW healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service with every patient, every time they visit the health center.
• Greet patients, communicate wait times, and confirm walk‑in appointment availability.
• Enter patient demographics and insurance information into the Practice Management system.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits with payers at scheduling.
• Conduct financial counseling to explain coverage and patient responsibilities.
