Job summary

Planned Parenthood Pasadena and San Gabriel Valley is seeking a Front Office Specialist to support patient access and care delivery across five health centers. You will register patients, verify eligibility, capture demographic data, and coordinate with back office to ensure accurate billing and efficient service delivery.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 1–2 years of customer service in healthcare, strong communication, and basic Microsoft Office skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in customer service, preferably healthcare, is highly desired.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Register/Check-in patients, greet and assist professionally.
• Accurately collect and enter demographic information.
• Assess fee category for sliding fee scale and identify patient’s insurance plan.
• Enter 3rd party payer information to maximize reimbursement.
• Schedule patient appointments and maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Maintain clean, organized front desk and waiting area.
