Job summary

National University of Natural Medicine seeks a front desk coordinator to deliver exemplary customer service and phone support in person at the Portland campus. You will manage appointment scheduling for a large network of medical providers, register patients, enter insurance details, and perform cashiering using the EPIC system.

You will cover opening and closing shifts as assigned, respond to inquiries from patients, students, and staff, and help navigate a complex scheduling workflow.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of medical office experience or customer service experience.
• Electronic health records experience (EPIC) preferred.
• Associates degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients at the front desk and through phone calls.
• Schedule appointments for 40+ medical providers and 200+ medical students.
• Enter patient demographics and insurance information accurately in Epic.
• Handle cashiering and process payments for services and tests.
• Provide information about health center services to patients and the public.
