Memorial Health in Jerome Urgent Care is seeking a Patient Representative to join our administrative team on-site. You will handle patient registrations, verify insurance eligibility in real time, collect payments, and scan documents into the EMR.

The role requires excellent customer service and familiarity with Microsoft Office tools. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, telecommunications experience, and may hold an associate degree or related medical terminology knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficient with Windows, Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Excellent customer service skills and telecommunications experience.
• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education/experience; medical terminology preferred.
• Attains BLS certification within 30 days of employment; behavioral health de‑escalation training within six months.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors; ensure a positive patient experience.
• Complete patient registrations; collect demographics, guarantor, and financial information.
• Validate insurance coverage via real-time eligibility checks.
• Request payment for co-pays and balances; manage cash drawer.
• Collect IDs and insurance cards; scan to EMR system.
• Explain forms and obtain signatures; arrange interpreter services as needed.
• Assist with downtime procedures and EMR work queue management.
• Perform other duties as required.
