You’ll validate insurance in real time, collect copays, scan documents into the EMR, and coordinate interpreter services as needed. Proficiency with Windows, Outlook, Word and Excel is required, and an associate degree or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires excellent customer service skills and telecommunications experience.
• Background in Patient Access or Revenue Cycle understood.
• Proficiency with Windows, Outlook, Word, and Excel required.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and visitors, provides excellent patient experiences.
• Completes patient registrations, collects demographics, guarantor and financial information.
• Validates insurance coverage via real-time eligibility and tools.
• Requests payment for co-pays and balances; manages cash drawer.
• Collects IDs and insurance cards; scans to EMR system.
• Explains patient forms and requests signatures.
• Initiates interpreter services for non-English speakers.
• Performs downtime procedures and supports EMR work queues to aid claims.
• Performs other duties as required.
