Advocate Health seeks a Full-time Front End Staff member to greet and register patients, collect demographics and insurance data, and guide them through the patient portal. Qualifications

• HIPAA, EMTALA, and patient rights compliance knowledge.
• Excellent customer service skills in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to multitask and work with interruptions.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with diverse audiences.
• Proficient with computers and typing; EHR experience helpful.
• Understanding of insurance basics and patient financial discussions.

Responsibilities

• Create the initial electronic health record foundation for patient care.
• Check in/register patients, verify demographics and insurance, collect co-pays.
• Explain financial responsibilities and refer to Financial Advocates when needed.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant handling of patient information.
• Schedule appointments, manage reschedules, and assist patient portal use.
• Provide welcoming, professional service and assist with transportation or interpreters.
• Handle e-scanning, faxes, inbox messages, and HIM follow-ups.
• Monitor EHR work queues and assist leadership with onboarding.
