Job summary

UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL, is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Clinic Administrative Associate to support patient check-in/out, data entry, and call routing in a busy clinic.

Under general supervision, you will enter demographic and insurance data, assist patients in the waiting area, and provide exceptional service to patients, physicians and staff. This full-time role offers benefits and a steady AM shift.

Qualifications

• One year of customer service experience required.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and advanced knowledge of PC applications, software and database management.
• Strong math and bookkeeping skills; exceptional telephone and customer service abilities.

Responsibilities

• Check in scheduled and add-on patients; answer calls and route them; enter demographic, insurance and charge data.
• Check patients out of the clinic and perform follow-up as needed; assist with clinic revenue activities.
• Provide assistance in waiting room as needed; deliver outstanding customer service to patients, visitors, physicians and staff.
