Qualifications

• No prior job-related work experience required
• Preferred: customer service, hospital/medical office, or insurance company
• Proficient with multiple software/hardware used in daily tasks
• Medical Terminology certification preferred
• Able to learn and adapt in a fast-paced hospital environment

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient registration, collect and verify demographic and financial information
• Provide financial counseling, collect co-pays and deductibles, and explain financial assistance when needed
• Enter data into the ADT system and obtain required authorizations and pre-certifications when applicable
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with privacy regulations
• Communicate effectively with physicians, offices, patients, and staff in a courteous manner
