Job summary

You will pre-certify Medicare/ Medicaid, verify benefits, schedule admissions, and assist with financial arrangements while maintaining confidentiality and delivering high-quality customer service across the hospital.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in healthcare or institutional setting.
• Epic Systems experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to obtain demographic, financial and insurance information.
• Enter patient information into the registration system.
• Explain financial policies and collect self-pay balances.
• Verify insurance coverage and benefits for inpatients and outpatients.
• Coordinate pre-admission, scheduling and pre-certifications.
