Qualifications

  • Six months of customer service experience involving interactions with customers.
  • Basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.
  • Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to protect privacy, confidentiality, and PHI of patients, members, and caregivers.
  • Multilingual abilities are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist patients by phone or in person to ensure a positive experience.
  • Document calls accurately in the EMR.
  • Schedule and coordinate patient appointments for visits, procedures, tests, referrals, and consultations.
  • Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information.
  • Assist patients with forms and billing, including financial assistance and payments.
  • Maintain confidentiality and compliance with privacy standards.
