Qualifications

Experience in a healthcare or customer service setting.
Knowledge of CMS, EMTALA, and HIPAA guidelines.
Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Perform Medicare compliance reviews and issue noncoverage notices as needed.
Create accurate estimates of patient financial responsibility and collect payments.
Coordinate with utilization management for pre-authorizations.
Verify insurance eligibility and obtain pre-authorizations within timeframes.
Register patients accurately and minimize duplicate records.
Communicate across departments to enhance patient experience.
Provide excellent customer service and document conversations.
Assist PBX coverage and perform cashiering duties.
