Job summary

AdventHealth Hendersonville is seeking a Customer Service/Revenue Cycle associate to support Medicare compliance, patient registration, and insurance coordination. This on-site role runs Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m.

to 4:15 p.m., and requires accurate data handling and strong service orientation. The position emphasizes collaboration across departments to enhance the patient experience, with a focus on HIPAA compliance, billing accuracy, and timely communications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.
• 1+ years in customer service; healthcare experience preferred.
• Familiarity with revenue cycle processes and insurance terminology is beneficial.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus and recommended.

Responsibilities

• Performs Medicare compliance reviews and issues ABNs.
• Creates estimates for patient financial responsibility and collects payments.
• Coordinates with utilization management for pre-authorization; provides necessary information to patients.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and obtains pre-authorizations within deadlines.
• Registers patients accurately and minimizes duplicate medical records.
• Collects demographic and insurance information; updates records.
• Maintains coverage of assigned work areas and arranges relief as needed.
• Facilitates communication between clinical, ancillary, and access departments to improve patient experience.
• Documents conversations with patients and insurers; records payer decisions and payment plans.
• Provides PBX coverage and handles calls as needed; performs cashiering and cash reconciliation.
