AdventHealth in Hendersonville, NC seeks a full-time patient access role to enhance the patient experience. You will manage check-in, verify insurance, collect copays, and remind patients of appointments to ensure smooth flow in a high-volume setting.

You must deliver excellent service, communicate effectively in English, and handle scheduling with attention to detail. The role involves clinical areas and adherence to safety and disinfection guidelines.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend English effectively.
• Ability to operate a computer, copier, fax, and scanner.
• Ability to work with patients, employees and diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Drives customer service initiatives by creating and owning the patient experience.
• Reviews appointment bookings and sends reminders.
• Verifies and validates insurance prior to appointment date.
• Performs check-in, secures copays and balances.
• Maintains timely flow of patients and notifies about delays.
• Responds to incoming calls promptly.
• Performs vitals and documents allergies and vital signs.
• Assists with scheduling and prior authorization of referrals and orders.
• Participates in disinfection of common areas and readies exam rooms.
