Job summary

The Cleveland Clinic Main Campus is a renowned healthcare organization where research and surgery are advanced and patient care is world-class. As a Patient Access Coordinator, you will organize the activities and workflow of the patient access area, supporting front-line scheduling and exceptional patient service.

Mon through Fri, 8:00am to 5:00pm, you will develop programs to improve appointment utilization, coordinate schedules, and produce operational reports while maintaining compassionate

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Two years of outpatient scheduling experience or equivalent.
Three years of external outpatient scheduling experience as alternative.
Associate Degree and one year of experience or Bachelor's degree acceptable.

Responsibilities

Organize and coordinate the activities and flow of work for the patient access area.
Develop, implement and oversee programs to improve appointment utilization (reminder, follow-up on no-show/cancellation).
Coordinate activities and resolve operational problems.
Adjust employees, patients and physicians' schedules to respond to operational issues.
Control and audit reconciliation of day sheets and update statistics in the data bank.
Produce reports as needed.
