Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related training/experience.
• Two years of related experience in medical/financial services or customer service preferred.
• Experience operating a PC and common software applications.
• Preferred HFMA certification or Certified Revenue Cycle representative.

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduling and preregistration functions.
• Verifies patient demographics and medical benefits.
• Obtains and documents insurance authorization and referrals.
• Calculates patient liabilities and posts payments in ADT/financial systems.
• Delivers positive patient experience and follows policies and training.
• Supports others and communicates issues to team lead.
