Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent education.
• Two years of related experience preferred in medical or financial services/customer service.
• Experience operating a PC and using software applications.

Responsibilities

• Conducts scheduling and preregistration; verifies demographics and benefits; updates data for accurate billing.
• Verifies insurance info; coordinates authorization/referral with payors and physicians.
• Identifies patient financial responsibilities; estimates, collects liabilities, posts transactions, and reconciles daily.
• Delivers positive patient experience and maintains relationships with AHN staff and outside agencies.
• Strives to meet productivity standards and suggests process improvements.
• Follows AHN policies; completes mandatory training.
• Communicates barriers to team lead; assists in training and issue resolution.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
