Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Two years of related experience in medical, financial services, or customer service.
• Experience operating a PC and using software applications.

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduling and preregistration functions and verifies patient demographics and benefits.
• Verifies insurance information and required authorizations/referrals with payors.
• Calculates patient financial obligations and posts payments in the system; performs daily reconciliation.
• Delivers positive patient experience and collaborates with AHN teams and external agencies.
• Maintains productivity and pursues process improvements in patient access workflows.
• Adheres to AHN policies and completes required training within guidelines.
• Communicates barriers or issues to team lead and supports colleagues with training.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
