Zusammenfassung

Allegheny Health Network (AHN) is seeking an entry to mid-level Patient Access professional to handle scheduling, preregistration, and insurance verification functions. You will identify benefits, verify data, and determine patient financial responsibilities while documenting accurately in the system.

You will deliver a positive patient experience, collaborate with physicians and payors, and support productivity goals while complying with HIPAA and privacy policies.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED; or one - three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two previous years of related experience, preferably within a medical setting, financial services setting, and/or a demanding customer service environment
• Experience operating a PC and using software applications

Aufgaben

• Conducts scheduling, and preregistration functions, validates patient demographic data, identifies and verifies medical benefits, accurate plan code and COB order.
• Verifies insurance information through payor contacts via telephone, online resources, or electronic verification system.
• Identifies all patient financial responsibilities, calculates estimates, collects liabilities and post payment transactions as appropriate in the ADT system and performs daily reconciliation.
• Delivers positive patient experience and maintains relationships with patients, AHN leadership and staff, physician offices and external agencies.
• Maintains focus on attaining productivity standards and suggests improvements for performance.
• Adheres to AHN policies and completes mandatory training within guidelines.
• Communicates barriers or issues to team lead; assists in resolving patient issues requiring oversight. (10%)
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
