The incumbent will maintain patient confidentiality, handle system downtimes, and collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure smooth patient flow and compliance with policies and training requirements.

Qualifications

• High School/GED or one – three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience operating a PC and using software applications.
• One year of related experience, preferably in a medical or financial services customer service setting.
• Preferred medical terminology and insurance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Conducts scheduling, registration, and admitting functions at bedside, verifies insurance information and processes data for billing.
• Obtains and updates data to ensure timely submission of bills, including workers compensation and motor vehicle claims.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and supports registration during system downtime with accuracy.
• Delivers positive patient experience and communicates effectively with patients and staff.
• Responds calmly to inquiries from patients, visitors, and hospital personnel under all circumstances.
• Adheres to organizational policies and completes mandatory trainings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
