Job summary

Seattle Children’s seeks a Patient Access Coordinator to optimize the pre-visit experience. Responsibilities include patient registration, scheduling in Cadence or OpTime, and coordinating care with multiple services to minimize delays.

In addition to collecting demographics and ensuring financial information accuracy for reimbursement, you will manage copays, consents, and inquiries. Epic training is required within two weeks of start date; bilingual or diverse backgrounds are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 2+ years in customer service or healthcare admin.
• Epic Training completion and passing EUPA within 2 weeks of start date.
• Associates degree or 2+ years college coursework in health care or related field; 3+ years healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and schedule appointments in Cadence and/or OpTime.
• Coordinate care with services to minimize access delays.
• Process incoming referrals and triage patient calls.
• Send MyChart invitations and collect/update demographic and financial information.
• Check in patients, collect copays and outstanding balances, obtain signed consent.
• Maintain infection prevention standards and communicate with patients/families.
