Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Patient Access representative responsible for scheduling, preregistration, financial clearance, and insurance verification. You will collect and document patient information, assess benefits, and explain financial responsibilities to patients and families.

The role emphasizes accuracy in billing data, compliance with HIPAA, and delivering a positive patient experience while collaborating with care teams. This is an on-site position at AHN locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1 year of related experience, preferably in a medical/financial services setting or demanding customer service environment.
• Experience operating a PC and using software applications.

Responsabilités

• Schedules and preregisters patients, validates demographic data and insurance information.
• Verifies insurance details with payors and initiates authorizations/referrals as needed.
• Identifies patient financial responsibilities, estimates amounts, collects liabilities and posts payments.
• Delivers a positive patient experience and maintains relationships with patients, AHN staff and external contacts.
• Maintains productivity and suggests improvements to enhance performance.
• Follows AHN policies, completes required training, and adheres to security and privacy guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
