Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Some college coursework (2–3 years) preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year medical office experience preferred.
• Ability to learn and operate computer systems and portals.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and route to appropriate area; take messages as required.
• Assist guests with check-in, verify demographics and insurance, update records.
• Educate guests on FollowMyHealth (FMH) portal usage.
• Collect patient payments and reconcile receipts per standards.
• Schedule provider appointments and optimize schedule utilization.
• Document guest requests in the EHR and use system reports.
