Corewell Health Muskegon is seeking a Part-time Patient Access Specialist to assist patients, providers, and staff with accessing services. You will greet visitors, handle phone calls, and guide patients through the registration and appointment process, aiming to deliver an exceptional, supportive experience across multiple contact channels.

The role requires clerical accuracy, thorough verification of demographics and insurance, and quick navigation of the EHR/EMR systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of relevant experience in insurance billing, access management, patient financial services, electronic health records, lab service support or other related fields.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a concierge and greets patients and visitors.
• Performs clerical tasks including phone calls, scheduling, mail, and registrations.
• Documents patient calls in the EHR for routing and resolution.
• Handles patient registration and check-in, verifying demographics and insurance.
• Performs patient check-out and schedules follow-ups.
• Maintains medical records and basic EMR/EHR scanning.
