Job summary

Corewell Health’s Big Rapids location seeks a part-time Patient Registration associate to greet patients, manage check-in/out, verify insurance, and schedule follow-up appointments. This role supports navigation and ensures accurate data entry into the EMR system.

The position emphasizes patient-centered service and adherence to safety standards. The successful candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent and ideally one year of related experience in patient access, billing, or EHR

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in insurance billing, access management, patient financial services, EHR, or related areas is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets and communicates with patients or visitors as a concierge.
• Answers practice phone calls and schedules patient appointments using a decision tree where applicable.
• Registers and checks in patients, verifies demographics and insurance information; assists self-registration.
• Maintains patient medical records and uploads documents into EPIC; basic EMR/EHR scanning tasks.
• Performs other duties as assigned and participates in safety initiatives.
