Job summary

Intermountain Health McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah is seeking a Patient Service Representative to greet patients, verify information, and support check-in/out and scheduling.

This role emphasizes accuracy in EMR documentation, insurance data collection, and compassionate service, with a schedule Monday–Friday 8am–5pm and occasional evenings and Saturday shifts.

The posting notes hourly pay of $18.31–$23.80 and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Six months of customer service experience involving interactions with customers.
• Basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.
• Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to protect privacy, confidentiality, and PHI of patients, members, and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Provides courteous and professional connections with patients by phone, in person or via secure messaging; resolves needs related to intake and care.
• Documents all calls accurately in the EMR.
• Schedules patient appointments for visits, procedures, tests, referrals, and consultations.
• Registers patients by confirming and updating demographic data in the registration system.
• Obtains copies of insurance cards and IDs, verifies information for insurance coordination of benefits.
• Assists patients in completing forms for regulatory and billing needs and educates on financial assistance.
• Keeps informed about role responsibilities and communications to maintain high performance.
