Job summary

Intermountain Health in Heber City, Utah is seeking a Patient Service Representative to greet patients, check-in, verify information, and schedule appointments, delivering courteous service over phone, in person, or via secure messaging.

This part-time role (20 hours weekly, Tue-Wed, 7:45am–6:00pm) offers a friendly team, training, and benefits eligibility, with emphasis on privacy, accurate data entry in EMR, and assisting patients with billing and insurance coordination.

Qualifications

• Six months of customer service experience with customers.
• Basic computer skills for word processing and data entry.
• Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to protect privacy and PHI of patients.
• One year of customer service experience in person and by phone preferred.
• Billing and collections experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and connect with patients over the phone, in person, or via secure messaging.
• Schedule patient appointments for visits, procedures, tests, referrals, and consultations.
• Register patients by confirming and updating demographic data in the system.
• Obtain copies of insurance cards and signatures on forms.
• Assist patients with billing, payments, and financial assistance education.
• Document calls accurately in the EMR and follow up as needed.
