Job summary

Hanger, Inc. is seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to ensure a seamless experience for patients, staff, and referrals. You will greet patients, verify information, collect payments, and support clinic operations.

The ideal candidate has front desk or medical office experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with computer systems. This is a full-time onsite role in Columbia, SC with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at minimum a good fit for the job, as determined by Talent Sorter assessment.
• Less than one year of customer service or front desk experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients at the front desk, provide information on wait times and inquiries.
• Verify and update patient demographics and insurance at check-in; manage walk-ins.
• Collect patient payments including deductibles, copays and coinsurance at the front desk.
• Coordinate follow-up appointments including cast/measure delivery and prosthetic care plans.
• Serve as liaison for clinic services and patient experience programs.
• Collaborate with Revenue Cycle Management to obtain patient information.
• Maintain accurate and complete electronic health records for all patients.
