Aurora Health Care in Wisconsin is seeking a patient access representative to greet patients, check in for appointments, and collect patient responsibilities at the point of service. You will verify demographics, insurance information, and coordinate pre-certifications as needed.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of customer service or clerical experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with EPIC EMR and MS Office. A collaborative, patient-centered approach is valued.

Competenze

• 1 year of experience in customer service or clerical work is typically required.
• Knowledge of Medicare/HIPAA rules and insurance pre-certification requirements.
• Ability to handle confidential information and communicate professionally.

Mansioni

• Greet and check in patients for appointments and collect patient responsibility.
• Complete registration for walk-ins and verify/update demographics and insurance information.
• Verify insurance benefits and communicate expected payment at time of service.
• Refer patients to Financial Advocate for financial assistance as needed.
• Monitor patient flow and assist with scheduling and checkout processes.
• Maintain excellent patient relations and support department workflows.
