Brookwood Baptist Health in Homewood, AL seeks a skilled Registration Specialist to provide complex registration, authorization, financial clearance, and related services for high-dollar specialty cases. You will collaborate with staff and physicians, verify insurance, collect co-pays, and ensure accurate data entry while upholding compliance and service standards.

Monday–Friday, 7:30 am–4 pm, with comprehensive benefits starting day one.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree preferred.
• Three years’ experience in customer service, financial, or healthcare setting required.
• Must be able to work Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4 pm

Responsibilities

• Provides complex registration, authorization, financial clearance, and related services for highly complex or high-dollar specialty services.
• Builds relationships with staff and physicians to remove denials or poor patient service.
• Verifies benefits and obtains necessary authorizations from payers.
• Explains insurance benefits and collects co-pays, deductibles, and self-pay portions.
• Inputs patient/guarantor demographic and financial information accurately into registration systems.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and hospital requirements.
• Screens patient for assistance programs and assists with applications as needed.
