Job summary

Baptist Health in Montgomery, AL, is seeking a Patient Registration Specialist for Urology East. You will perform pre-registration, registration, payer identification and verification, and refer patients to financial counseling while collecting at the point of service.

You will ensure accurate demographic and benefit data, verify eligibility, and coordinate benefits. Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid, HIPAA, and EMTALA is required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree in healthcare or business-related field preferred.
• Bilingual capability (English/Spanish) desirable.
• At least 2 years' experience in a medical or hospital patient access or financial services environment preferred.
• Training experience a plus.
• Knowledge of government programs such as Medicare and Medicaid.
