Brookwood Baptist Health is seeking a Registration Specialist to provide complex registration, authorization, and financial clearance for highly complex or high-dollar specialty services. You will coordinate with staff and physicians to remove denials, verify benefits, collect co-pays, and input data into registration systems.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in customer service, financial, business, or healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides complex registration, authorization, and financial clearance for highly complex services.
• Takes responsibility for building relationships with staff and physicians to remove roadblocks that may cause denials or poor patient service.
• Monitors and reports issues in a timely manner and helps meet department customer service goals.
• Explains necessary forms and collects signatures from patient/guarantor and verifies benefits.
• Contacts payers to obtain authorizations and collects co-pays and balances as needed.
• Documents authorization and benefit information in the registration system and ensures accurate data entry.
• Screens for assistance programs and maintains compliance with department policies.
• Performs scheduling and coordinates with physicians, offices, and ancillary services.
