Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years healthcare office experience preferred.
• Proficient in registrations (inpatient, outpatient, and emergency admissions).
• Completes Admissions, Discharges, and Transfers in a timely manner when applicable.
• Ability to monitor and verify patient demographics, insurance, and financial information.
• Gathers and verifies confidential health and financial information from patients and ensures payment for services.

Responsibilities

• Handle visitor check-ins, patient registration and financial clearance.
• Verify insurance and CMS standards; communicate eligibility to patients.
• Accurately identify and enter patient demographics, insurance, and financial information.
• Gathers and verifies all appropriate health and financial information from patients.
• Confirm completeness of the electronic health record (EHR) and make necessary changes.
