Responsibilities

• Patient intake, registration and documentation: registers patients, verifies identity and insurance, collects information, enters demographics, scans forms.
• Administrative & technology operations: scans documents, answers phones, uses EMR and eligibility tools.
• Case management tasks: notifies case managers and documents referrals.
• Financial counseling: provides estimates and collects payments.
• Insurance & contract coordination: verifies basic eligibility and coverage.
• Inquiries & patient concerns: answers routine questions and escalates issues.
• Transport: requests routine transport and confirms details.
• HIM coordination: flags duplicate records and scans IDs.
• Utilization review coordination: flags cases needing review.
• Compliance: ensures HIPAA, OSHA and other regulations.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.
