Job summary

Essentia Health's Jamestown Clinic seeks a friendly Patient Access Representative to greet patients, collect demographics and financial information, and ensure accurate registration and billing.

You will coordinate with Virtual Patient Registration Representatives and Patient Schedulers, schedule follow-ups, provide cost estimates, and maintain courteous service while handling cash and insurance documentation. This role requires attention to detail and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Interviews patients to obtain demographic and financial information.
• Experience in patient access or scheduling is preferred.
• Certification within six months is required or planned.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to collect demographics and financial information.
• Obtain copies of insurance cards and update patient records.
• Process point of service data, collect co-pays, and reconcile cash drawer.
• Manage work queues and respond to calls, scheduling appointments.
• Provide cost estimates and itineraries for upcoming appointments.
• Sanitize equipment and restock supplies.
