The role requires a high school diploma or GED, prior customer service experience, and basic typing skills. HIPAA knowledge and accuracy are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous customer service experience required.
• Medical Terminology, CPT and ICD-10 coding strongly preferred.
• Basic typing at 45 WPM, basic ten key, and computer skills within a Windows environment.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and confidentiality requirements, insurance payer regulations and patient rights.

Responsabilités

• Greet and register patients accurately and efficiently.
• Verify insurance eligibility using online systems.
• Collect and enter payments, balance per procedures.
• Provide patients with financial information and price estimates.
• Schedule appointments for multiple facilities and departments.
