Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a friendly and organized Patient Services Clerk to serve as the first point of contact for patients in our ambulatory clinics. You will handle registration, insurance verification, appointment scheduling, and related clerical tasks with accuracy and courtesy.

The role requires proficiency with office equipment and phones, strong data entry skills, and the ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
• Must be able to work weekends/holidays.
• Demonstrated experience using office equipment such as a printer, copier, fax, scanner.
• Demonstrated experience using multi-line telephone system.
• Demonstrated experience using a computer, including data entry and retrieval.
• Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as first point of contact for patients in ambulatory clinics.
• Enter patient data into registration system and verify insurance.
• Schedule, confirm, and cancel patient appointments.
