Confluence Health is seeking a Patient Access Associate in Washington to support inpatient admissions, surgery, emergency and outpatient registrations. You will facilitate patient payments, verify insurance, and provide excellent service to patients and the health care team.

The role emphasizes accurate data entry, multi-tasking in a high-stress environment, and strong customer service with patients and staff. Shifts vary and may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient in Windows navigation, email, and multi-program use.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, stressful environment.
• Excellent customer service and communication with patients and staff.
• Flexible shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Admit/register patients in a timely and efficient manner using multiple methods.
• Obtain required admission/registration information to ensure accurate medical records.
• Perform insurance verification and accurately code insurance for billing.
• Complete forms, applications and documents accurately and timely.
• Complete daily work queues and participate in audits and improvement projects.
• Answer calls to the hospital and manage the on-call physician schedule.
• May assist with Financial Counseling for self-pay and underinsured patients.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service with patients and health-care team.
• Escort OB patients and direct admits to designated floors and rooms.
• Receive, document and return patient valuables; perform other duties as assigned.
