Daily tasks include using multiple systems for registration, scheduling, and inquiries, escalating complex issues, and collaborating with the care team to promote a positive access experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required upon hire.
• Experience in healthcare, patient access setting preferred, with knowledge of registration procedures, documentation, and health insurance payers.
• Familiarity with real-time insurance eligibility verifications.

Responsibilities

• Register patients across access points, ensuring accurate demographic information, insurance eligibility, and documentation in the EHR.
• Scan, index, and manage patient documentation to support registration, billing, and clinical workflows.
• Explain financial responsibilities using established tools and collect payments when appropriate.
• Schedule, confirm, and adjust appointments to support timely access to care and clinic workflows.
• Resolve routine registration, insurance, and encounter discrepancies per established workflows.
• Provide patient-facing support via telephone and other channels, routing calls and documenting interactions.
