Job summary

Everwell in Port St Lucie/Port St Lucie Hospital seeks an Admissions Director to lead patient intake, registration, and scheduling in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

You will oversee compliance with policies and JCAHO standards while guiding the admissions team, coordinating with clinical staff, and ensuring accurate data entry and reporting. A focus on customer service, staff development, and operational efficiency is essential, with a pre-employment Level 2 background check required.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical office management and patient admissions.
• Strong supervisory and staff development abilities.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare compliance.
• Experience with revenue cycle and billing processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the admissions team to ensure smooth patient intake, registration, and scheduling processes.
• Ensure adherence to healthcare policies, JCAHO standards, health regulation policies, and compliance requirements across all operations.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to coordinate patient flow within acute care or dental clinics, supporting efficient utilization of resources.
• Implement and monitor patient management software systems for appointment scheduling, patient tracking, and data entry accuracy.
• Develop training programs for staff on medical terminology, medical administrative support procedures, and customer service excellence.
• Handle human resources functions such as staffing schedules, performance evaluations, and managing team dynamics within a healthcare practice setting.
• Maintain excellent communication with patients regarding Admissions criteria, insurance information, and healthcare procedures to foster trust and satisfaction.
• Demonstrate an understanding of and adherence to the Code of Conduct while reflecting and reinforcing Everwell's values and commitment to the Code of Conduct.
