Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality's Arizona Biltmore property in Phoenix is seeking a Pastry Junior Sous Chef to manage day-to-day pastry and bake shop production under the Pastry Sous Chef.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years in a hotel pastry department, a high school diploma or GED, and an accredited culinary school or apprenticeship (preferred). The role requires availability 2pm to 10:30pm and a Maricopa County Food Handler Card.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Accredited Culinary School or Apprenticeship preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in a Pastry Department in a hotel.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional attitude, demeanor and appearance.
• Prepare items listed on production sheet.
• Rotate old stock out first and check freshness.
• Supervise Baker / Pastry Cooks I, II and III in production, sanitation and procedures.
• Develop bread and dessert menus for food & beverage outlets and banquets.
