Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality seeks a Pastry Cook II for the iconic Arizona Biltmore. The role focuses on preparing and baking desserts in a high-volume, luxury hotel setting, requiring strong pastry skills and reliability.

Applicants should have at least two years of pastry experience in professional kitchens; hotel experience is preferred. Apprenticeship or culinary school graduates are encouraged to apply, with a focus on quality and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake cakes, cookies, pies, puddings, or desserts as listed.
• Maintain a professional attitude and wear proper uniform.
• Follow supervisor guidance and use approved procedures for storage and labeling.
• Date and label all items going into freezer and walk-in; rotate stock accordingly.
• Clean small equipment after use and maintain a tidy workstation.
• Demonstrate commitment to safety and protect guests and property.

Hotel Website, Instagram, FacebookWhat you will have an opportunity to do:The Pastry Cook II is responsible for the preparation and baking of cakes, cookies, pies, puddings, or desserts.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSMaintain a professional attitude, demeanor and appearance. Wear proper uniform and footwear at all items.Consult your supervisor if you are unsure of tasks and procedures.Store all items in approved containers that are wrapped, dated and labeled. Follow food handler’s guidelines.Sign in and out on the authorized form. Have your supervisor initial it before leavingClean all small equipment such as mixers, buffalo choppers, etc., yourself immediately after using them.Prepare items listed on production sheet.Rotate old stock out first. Ask chef if freshness is questionable.Date and label all items going into freezer and walk-in, clean as you go.Demonstrate commitment to making a conscientious effort to eliminate or reduce the risk of injury to our guests and associates, damage to our property or the property of others.Know the correct action to take in the event of an emergency, and demonstrate this knowledge by acting appropriately in the event of an emergency.This position is Full-Time. Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
