Job summary

Kennesaw State University is seeking a Pastry Kitchen Supervisor for the Student Center, Marietta Campus. The role oversees food handling and preparation, ensures quality and sanitation, and assists the Sous Chef with station checklists and staff oversight.

The requirements include a high school diploma, two years of cooking/baking experience, and ServSafe certification (or within 12 months). Salary is $20.00–$22.00 hourly with benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Manager ServSafe certified or obtains certification within twelve (12) months of hire.
• Two (2) years of related cooking and/or baking experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversees staff in assigned area.
• Performs general cooking and/or baking duties per established guidelines and locations.
• Leads training in food preparation techniques, safety and quality control.
• Assists in testing and implementing new recipes to the menu.
• Assists with menu development.
• Ensures high food quality following regulations, including tasting for quality control.
• Performs sanitation duties and leads bakery/station prep from scratch.
