We are currently seeking a Pastry Cook to join Frenchette's culinary team. The ideal candidate is passionate about food and hospitality. As a key member of the culinary team, a successful pastry cook will prioritize positivity, passion, and flexibility. This is a great opportunity to join an energetic, seasoned, and diverse team dedicated to creating an inclusive and dynamic workplace for learning, collaboration, and growth. Previous experience in a collaborative, food-forward environment is preferred.

What You Can Expect
  • Produce consistent, high-quality seasonal dishes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be a positive influence on the team and work well under pressure, fostering a welcoming work environment that boosts staff morale.
  • Support the Pastry Chef with pastry preparations.
  • Assist the Executive Chef as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized pastry kitchen while adhering to NY health and safety standards.
Ideal Candidate
  • Passion for classic French pastry techniques and knowledge of pastry production and plating.
  • Experience or eagerness to learn more about pastry, including plating, production, and events.
  • Ability to prepare and execute key components of seasonal dishes with quality and accuracy.
  • Enthusiasm, strong work ethic, and a desire to be part of a small, diverse pastry program.
  • Flexible to work as needed, including mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends.
  • Excellent time management skills for production and plating.
