Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:

Ensure quality, consistency, production, and execution of all food menu items. Interact with fellow team members and supervisors in a polite and courteous manner to ensure gracious hospitality.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
  1. Anticipate and accommodate the needs of the guests.
  2. Handle all allergy and/or dietary restrictions and modifications.
  3. Assist in taking inventory and creating a daily prep list.
  4. Accurately follow all orders received from the POS system and/or directions from the expeditor.
  5. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of assigned station, the kitchen, and the entire venue.
  6. Follow supervisor’s instructions, communicate with, and support co-workers while being a team player.
  7. Possess in-depth knowledge of assigned recipes with the ability to execute them to company standards.
  8. Possess general knowledge of the venue.
  9. Comply with Department of Health and company sanitation standards.
  10. Work as part of a team and provide help and support to all fellow team members.
  11. Communicate product needs to the chefs, sous chefs, and support staff.
  12. Check cover counts, BEOs, and/or Fire Sheets as required.
  13. Properly set-up station and perform opening/closing procedures as directed by management, including:
    1. Stock station with prescribed supplies.
    2. Set "mise en place" following FIFO and company standards.
    3. Wipe down and sanitize station.
    4. Perform opening side-work as prescribed.
    5. Perform closing side-work as prescribed.
  14. Report all breakage and damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management.
  15. Attend and participate in daily pre-service meetings and departmental training sessions.
  16. Learn by listening, observing, and sharing knowledge while leading by example.
  17. Portray a positive and professional attitude.
  18. Demonstrate knowledge of Tao Group Hospitality, its partners, and supporting hotel environments.
  19. Assist and/or complete additional tasks as assigned.
Training Requirements

Tao Group Hospitality in-venue pastry training.

Education/Working Knowledge

Previous pastry experience preferred. Experience in a high-volume culinary operation is also preferred.

Skills / Physical Demands / Work Environment / Schedule

The work environment and physical demands include the ability to write and verbally communicate, move quickly, push and lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in noisy, crowded, and hot environments. Extended hours, irregular shifts, evening, weekend, and holiday work may be required. Maintain a professional appearance and interact courteously with customers and team members. Ability to handle a fast-paced, stressful environment and maintain confidentiality.
