MISSIONS

Position Profile:

Ensure maximum culinary creativity and high-quality standards through effective management, leadership, and direction within the hotel.

Deliver guests an exceptional culinary experience adhering to 5-star standards in taste, presentation, and menu design.

Engage with guests, especially at high-profile events, and inspire the culinary team with personal presence, demonstrating commitment to service excellence and gracious hospitality.

Participate in recruitment, manage team members, and coach, train, motivate, recognize, schedule, and provide performance feedback, maintaining high team spirit.

Lead daily culinary operations through hands-on involvement, overseeing the pastry department budgets.

Maintain brand integrity regarding food quality and hygiene, ensuring compliance with Food Safety and Hygiene standards, cleanliness, and personal hygiene for all food handlers.

Conduct inspections to evaluate cleanliness, maintenance, presentation, and safety of culinary areas, addressing deficiencies to meet service expectations.

Control food costs, labor, requisitions, purchase orders, receipt of goods, and inventory management.

PROFILE

Core Competencies:

A passion for food and a commitment to exceeding pastry excellence expectations, with knowledge of international fine dining and Mediterranean cuisine as an asset.

Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, multi-task calmly, and pay exceptional attention to detail.

Knowledge of food costing, inventory control, and management techniques.

Innovative mindset, prompt decision-making, and a proactive approach to problem-solving to uphold high culinary standards.

Safe work practices and injury minimization awareness.

Ability to supervise, inspire, and develop pastry staff and apprentices, fostering loyalty and motivation.

Commitment to continuous learning, growth, and team development.

Operate and maintain departmental equipment effectively.

Education & Experience:

Minimum 3 years of 5-star pastry experience in the US and/or Europe.

At least 1 year in a similar leadership role.

Culinary degree or diploma from a reputable culinary institute.

Legal Work Status: Must be legally authorized to work in the USA.
