Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. is seeking a Pasteurizer Operator to ensure product is pasteurized and meets safety standards at our Vermont facility. The role handles pasteurizer operations, sample collection for lab testing, and sanitation of silos and tanks as part of a GMP-driven environment.

The position requires attention to guidelines, ability to work in a fast-paced setting, and compliance with health and safety regulations. Evening/night shift, with a starting pay rate of $25.16 per hour.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate pasteurizer in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Obtain milk and cream samples for testing by lab to include raw and processed product.
• Wash and sanitize milk silos, cream tanks, and any other equipment as needed.
• Produce product according to guidelines and separate into correct batches.
• Follow recipe guidelines for all products produced.
• Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately.
• Maintain safe working conditions and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues.
• Follow all DFA GMP and corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate pasteurizer in compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Obtain milk and cream samples for testing by lab to include raw and processed product
• Wash and sanitize milk silos, cream tanks, and any other equipment as needed
• Produce product according to guidelines and separate into correct batches
• Follow recipe guidelines for all products produced.
• Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately
• Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
• Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

Requirements

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Production or general work experienced preferred
• Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment
