Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a Pasteurizer Operator to ensure pasteurization meets production and quality standards. You will operate the pasteurizer, collect samples, wash and sanitize equipment, and produce batches following recipes while reporting issues for quality control.

The role requires adherence to GMP and safety regulations. Shift is Mon-Fri, 10pm–6am, with pay at $25.16 per hour, reflecting night shift responsibilities and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred for entry-level production work.
• Production or general work experience preferred.
• Certification or license may be required during employment.

Responsibilities

• Operate pasteurizer to ensure product safety and quality.
• Collect milk and cream samples for lab testing.
• Wash and sanitize silos, tanks and equipment.
• Produce product following guidelines and correctly batch.
• Follow recipe guidelines for all products produced.
• Report food safety or quality issues to management.
• Maintain safe working conditions and comply with regulations.
• Follow GMP and sanitation requirements; comply with corporate standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

General Purpose

Operate pasteurizer to ensure product is pasteurized and safe at or above production and quality standards.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate pasteurizer in compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Obtain milk and cream samples for testing by lab to include raw and processed product
• Wash and sanitize milk silos, cream tanks, and any other equipment as needed
• Produce product according to guidelines and separate into correct batches
• Follow recipe guidelines for all products produced.
• Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately
• Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
• Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

Education and Experience
