Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is hiring a pasteurizer operator to ensure pasteurization meets safety and quality standards at our Winston-Salem facility.

You will collect samples, sanitize equipment, and follow recipes to produce labeled batches while adhering to GMP and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Production or general work experience preferred.
• Certification/licensing may be required during employment.

Responsibilities

• Operate pasteurizer to ensure product safety and quality.

• Follow recipes and document batch details accurately.

• Handle additional duties as assigned.

GENERAL PURPOSE

Operate pasteurizer to ensure product is pasteurized and safe at or above production and quality standards.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate pasteurizer in compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Obtain milk and cream samples for testing by lab to include raw and processed product
• Wash and sanitize milk silos, cream tanks, and any other equipment as needed
• Produce product according to guidelines and separate into correct batches
• Follow recipe guidelines for all products produced.
• Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately
• Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
• Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Production or general work experienced preferred
